The Science, Art, and Math of Glass
Explore the beauty of colored glass. In this workshop student artists will learn how to cut, layer and melt glass in a kiln. Artists will play with composition and exercise their knowledge of primary and secondary colors while creating a one of a kind glass sun-catcher.
Students will learn the qualities of glass and it’s many applications in our environment.
Students will learn that glass can be manipulated by using math and science to design programs for the annealing process.
With instruction and direction, the students will achieve a greater understanding of glass and will craft a one of a kind glass art piece.
