Young Audiences of Western New York, Inc. is a not-for-profit arts-in-education organization dedicated to bringing the arts to children.

This site features our entire program catalog as well as descriptions of our major projects and general information about the organization. Our catalog includes a new Artist Section that features new artists for the 2007-2008 school year. New programs will be posted as they are added to our roster throughout the year.

Erie Canal origami mural

Above: An origami mural of the Erie Canal created by students at H. O. Brumsted Elementary School through an Empire State Partnership funded by the New York State Council on the Arts. Students worked with YA-WNY Teaching Artist Kyoko Roszmann and the school's art specialist teacher. The mural was also featured on the cover of The Buffalo News' 2007/2008 School Calendar and Resource Guide.


Arts Abilities Header

On May 28th, 2008, Young Audiences of Western New York, Inc. presented a conference called Arts Abilities: A Vision for Inclusion. The conference was on arts education and special needs populations for teaching artists, classroom teachers, arts specialist teachers, curriculum coordinators, school administrators, health and human service agency staff, arts organizations administrators, parents, and anyone interested in reaching special needs youth in and through the arts. The conference included hands-on workshops with experienced teaching artists and experts from the fields of arts education and special education. Find out more!
