Afro---Brazilian DanceAfro-Brazilian Dance & Music presents a fast-paced, beautifully choreographed array of dance and music reflecting the multi-cultural traditions of Brazil.

This electrifying performer comes to us from Rochester, New York and Brazil. Clyde Morgan is an assistant professor of African Dance at SUNY Brockport. He was the first artist to be honored with the National Young Audiences Artist of the Year award.

Mike Callahan

Square dancing provides exercise and movement. It enhances listening skills, muscle co-ordination, mental stimulation and social interaction. Each set is a TEAM of eight students working together to achieve a goal of successfully mastering the square dance calls. Modern square dance uses attractive music and interesting choreography that does not get boring to the students. Mike has over 30 years experience teaching modern square dance (K-12)) in school Phys. Ed. Programs. He has also taught teacher inservice workshops.  Mike can also incorporate easy line dances and children's dances in his program.

Elizabeth Clark Dance Ensemble

Elizabeth Clark studied at the Juilliard School and Columbia University.  She has served on the dance faculties at the Rochester Institute of Technology, the University of Rochester, and Empire State College.  Ms. Clark has performed her original work internationally and toured as a teaching artist with the Lincoln Center Education Program.  She founded the Elizabeth Clark Dance Workshop in 1971 where she continues to teach.  In 2006, Elizabeth was presented an award for meritorious service to children by The National Dance Education Organization (NDEO). 

Come Fly With Me!

In this performance, all of the dances celebrate the movement of flight utilizing the imagery of flight in nature and technology:  A Firefly, A Dandelion Seed on the Gentle Wind, 'I'iwi Bird, Loons, The Jet Plane, The Astronaut's Dance, and Like a Duck.  Dances are selected for appropriate ages to experience the joy of soaring. 

Grades: Pre-K - 3

Physical Literacy in Flight

This performance explores many aspects of the movement of flight in nature.  Descriptive language introduces The Firefly Samba, The Gentle Wind, A Bird's Hip Hop, and The Little Jazz Bird.  Audience members may be chosen to participate in the dance, Zoom.

Nels Cremean-In Jest

Nels CremeanNels Cremean M.Ed, is Chief Executive Oddball of the Buffalo based company, In Jest.  Nels  has trained with artists and directors from Ringling Brothers, Commedia Dell'Arte, and Cirque Du Soleil, and has performed throughout the United States and abroad.  Nels presents several distinct programs that blend theater, variety arts, music, humor and a theme. Study guides provide curriculum connections, and programs can be customized to highlight specific goals or concepts.

Based on the principle that every person has value and potential, this dynamic performance addresses character education issues such as attitude, excellence, respect, responsibility and life choices.

High on Life

With an emphasis on wellness, this uplifting presentation promotes healthy choices that develop mind, body and character. It incorporates an age-appropriate message targeting substance abuse.

Science Circus

In this exciting production, Nels as the "Professor" performs math and science demonstrations using circus skills.  Participants will be amazed and amused as they learn about forces, energy, motion and more. 

Read to Achieve

This upbeat performance celebrates reading because "the more you read, the more you know; and the more you know, the more you grow!"  Nels shares how reading opens a world of possibilities.
