Gaining the Arts Advantage

Arts education plays an important and well documented role in ensuring academic success. In response, the artists and staff at Young Audiences of Western New York, Inc. have developed residencies that use performances and workshops to integrate the arts into all facets of curriculum. Residencies consist of multiple workshops with the same group of students. Charges for residencies depend on the number of sessions and/or number of students. Some residencies require an additional materials fee

YA-WNY’s staff and artists will gladly work with you to develop unique programs to meet the needs of your students. Programs may be developed for a single class, a grade level or whole school projects. At a planning meeting(s), prior to each residency, curriculum goals are discussed, as well as assessment and evaluation strategies. Contact the office at (716) 881-0917, to set up an appointment with YA-WNY staff to create a program that best fits your school’s needs.
