Gerald Mead

Gerald Mead is an award-winning artist whose artwork is in the collections of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and the International Museum of Photography and Film, among others. He holds an MFA in visual studies from the University at Buffalo, and a BS in design and a BA in psychology, both from Buffalo State College. He has shown his small-scale collages/assemblages in museums and galleries throughout the US and in Europe. Mead is the recipient of many awards and grants, including from the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the New York State Council on the Arts. Mead currently teaches at Buffalo State College, was an educator at the Burchfield-Penney Art Center for 18 years, and is equally passionate about teaching, making, and collecting art.
